# Typeship

Give agents an API they can actually use.

Typeship turns an OpenAPI (Swagger 2.0, 3.0, 3.1) or GraphQL spec into a CLI,
an MCP server, and zero-dependency SDKs in TypeScript, Python, and Go. Each
one can stay current: a new Project watches its Spec by default and
regenerates every selected Target when the Spec changes and opens a
reviewed pull request per destination.

## Start here

If you are an agent, read [https://typeship.dev/agents.md](https://typeship.dev/agents.md) — it is the runbook,
written to you, and it tells you how to detect the situation, install,
authenticate, generate, and verify.

```bash
npx -y @typeship-ax/cli@latest init
```

Create a Project in the console to keep its Targets current. For CI, call the
same generation API with an API key:

```bash
curl -s https://typeship.dev/api/v1/generate \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TYPESHIP_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"spec":{"url":"https://api.example.com/openapi.json"},"target":{"type":"python_sdk"}}'
```

## What gets generated

- **CLI** — one command per operation, with flags from the spec, JSON output, and exit codes a script can branch on.
- **MCP server** — typed operation tools for smaller APIs; a compact `search_docs`, `read_docs`, and `execute` surface for larger ones. Its package includes the private request runtime it needs without exposing or selecting a TypeScript SDK.
- **SDK** — a typed client in TypeScript, Python, or Go, with no runtime dependencies. Auth, results and errors, pagination, and retries follow the Spec; validation, webhooks, and streaming appear when the contract declares them.

## What it costs

Free includes one Project; generated packages include the first
25 API operations. Pro keeps complete Targets current for
$300 per Target per month across as many Projects as you
need. Enterprise is for
large APIs and contracts. Full table: [https://typeship.dev/pricing.md](https://typeship.dev/pricing.md).

Every prose documentation page has a markdown twin: append `.md` to its URL,
or send `Accept: text/markdown`. The generated HTTP API and SDK references are
the single markdown documents at [https://typeship.dev/docs/api.md](https://typeship.dev/docs/api.md) and
[https://typeship.dev/docs/reference.md](https://typeship.dev/docs/reference.md).
